Over the past weeks or maybe a month back the whole lot of raw finishing or in women's wear frayed Hem's jeans has been hugely trending. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the following trend but this One I was already rocking and of course, it was a highly requested tutorial post by some of you guys. So here I'm showing how you can get your raw hem jeans in 5 Simple steps. Just get your scissors ready everyone.

Step 1 – First thing first Put your jeans on and measure where you want the hem of your jeans to fall. You can mark this out with chalk than now Lay your jeans out flat on a flat surface and make sure each hem is lined up neatly and ready for cutting.

Step 2 – Slowly and neatly cut across your chalk line, making sure the edges are straight but even if not still it's totally fine.

And a Quick tip: If you are unsure like me on how short you want them, it’s always best to go with a longer length first and then re-cut how you want them to look.
Step 3 – Once you have cut the hem off, put it to one side and analyse the new cut. Make sure they're no stray bits anywhere as you need a clean cut, smooth line to work with for the next steps and to make it look like it was done by someone professional(your welcome you can mention me lol).

Step 4 – Now You should be left with clean cut raw hems. Don’t worry if it took a little longer to do as it did for me as well. Now maybe try to manage to make them neat and equal, which is kind of a must, and you can see they are slightly frayed already(Hashtag less work)
Step 5 – Now comes to the last part fraying of the hem. What I personally did & I prefer to make mine rougher and worn in was cutting multiple slits in the denim at a vertical angle like about 1.5 or 2mm in length. All these little cuts are tiny & just use the tip of the scissors as you move along the hem creating the cuts. Next, if you are lazy like me to rough up the ends of the denim by rubbing them together. Simply through them on the washer at denim mood and then what? It's done & you may dance with your new raw hem jeans. Also, you might want to snip off any long white threads that come off if you don’t like them, but the more you do it, the more the hem will fray and look better, so keep doing.
